Making Your Choice
As Osteopaths we take extra time to develop a true understanding of your whole body and to provide you with healthcare, exercise advice and lifestyle tips to help you to improve your overall state of health. We believe in an holistic approach to treatment, taking into account not just the injury that has brought you to us, but all potential contributing factors which may affect a person's well-being. We treat you as a unique individual and realise that no two patients that walk through our doors are the same, enabling us to tailor the treatment we offer you around your own specific needs.
Our goal is to address the musculoskeltal complaints you present with, particularly back pain, sports injuries, posture related pain, stiff and painful necks or arthritis. Our Osteopaths will offer advice on rehabilitation and exercises you can do to prolong the benefits of the treatment, along with postural advice and lifestyle tips to assist with improving your long-term health.
Your Osteopath will take you through a comprehensive case history, including details of your medical background and a full analysis of the current complaint in order to understand the cause of your pain. They will take you through a physical examination, watching how your body moves and using hands on testing to get a feel for the quality of movement in your individual joints and body tissues. This information will be used to create a treatment plan specific to your needs, taking into account your age, health and any other relevant factors.
Osteopathy has been proven to offer relief for patients that have been unable to find help from traditional medical means. However we do work closely with the NHS and should we feel your case is beyond our field, we will discuss the options with you and communicate with your GP to ensure you are getting the best care possible.
We believe that with a combination of manual treatment, lifestyle and exercise advice, we can help you get back on track to optimum health.
